Fry-Whiz Deep Fryer Cleaner is a powerful deep fryer cleaner that removes carbon buildup in your kitchen equipment and removes grease deposits. We’ve spoken about the benefits of keeping your commercial deep fryer oil clean and filtered many times on this blog. Here’s a quick refresher:
A proper oil management system encompasses more than just your cooking oil; it includes your deep-frying equipment too. After all, there’s no point in keeping your oil clean and filtered if your equipment dirties it before you’ve even fried any food.
Fry-Whiz Deep Fryer from The FryOilSaver Company safely cleans deep fryers and removes built-up carbon, oils, fats, rust and calcium, as well as that stubborn burned-on grease. It’s perfect for cleaning open pressure fryers, oil filters and fryer baskets. The deep fryer cleaning solution is low foaming, resulting in less mess.
Fry-Whiz will help you become a cleaning whizz in 6 easy steps:
Step 1: Drain your deep fryer
When your cooking oil is spent or you’d like to put it aside for filtering, empty your deep fryer using an oil storage pot.
Step 2: Fill with water and heat
Once all the oil is drained, fill your deep fryer vat with water to the fill line. Turn on the fryer and heat the water to 90°C or 194°F. Most importantly, the water should not boil. Some deep fryers have a cleaning setting, which automatically regulate the perfect cleaning conditions.
Step 3: Add Fry-Whiz Deep Fryer Cleaner
Check the Fry-Whiz bottle for the correct dosage. The rule of thumb is 10 grams of Fry-Whiz per liter of hot water. Use a heat resistant brush to work the cleaner into the sides of the deep fryer vat.
Step 4: Take a 30 minute break
Allow the Fry-Whiz cleaner to react in the hot water for at least 30 minutes. If you’ve had a busy day in your restaurant and your deep fryer is very dirty, you can also leave the solution to soak overnight.
Step 5: Rinse
Drain the Fry-Whiz solution and use a brush or fine pad to easily remove any spots that are left behind. Remember not to use a scraper or abrasive cleaning pad as this can damage your deep fryer vat. Rinse the vat twice with clear water until any traces of dirt or cleaning solution are completely gone. Then, remember to dry the vat completely with towels before refilling, because oil and water don’t mix!
Step 6: Fill with oil
Replenish with fresh oil or freshly filtered oil and get back to serving up delicious deep fried food in a completely clean fryer.
During step 3, you can make your deep fryer scrubbing a breeze with heat-resistant cleaning brushes specifically designed for deep fryers, available to you by The FryOilSaver Company. When a fryer cleaner brush is used, no down time is required as fryers don’t need to be shut down to cool before cleaning. No down time for cleaning means longer operating times with better long-term profits!
